We are seeking a passionate and experienced landscape architect to work with our energetic and collaborative team. We are seeking candidates that have 3-5 years of experience with a strong interest in the design and implementation of projects across a range of urban and natural conditions. This role is ideal for an individual who is self-motivated, entrepreneurial and has a commitment to pursuing innovation and excellence in a collaborative design process. Our ideal candidate will be based in Calgary.
Key responsibilities
- Preparation of base maps, conceptual design and construction-level drawings and specifications, including cost estimating and detailing.
- Improvement of existing drawing and modelling standards and libraries.
- Assistance on contract administration, including site inspection work.
- Support for multiple project managers with diverse project types across a range of natural and built conditions.
- Ensure project deliverables comply with local standards and contract requirements.
- Embody O2’s values and demonstrate a professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree or diploma from an accredited institution within the field of Landscape Architecture
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience.
- Superior skills in AutoCAD production, assembly of construction documentation packages, material selection, specifications and cost estimating within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Experience with Revit, Rhino, and Grasshopper is desirable and considered a significant asset.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Membership (or eligibility for membership) with the Alberta Association of Landscape Architects and/or Ontario Association of Landscape Architects as a Landscape Architect.
- Solid understanding of project development, design development, and contract documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A valid driver’s license and vehicle is preferred for site/project meetings and inspections.
