O2 Planning and Design Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Controller to join our dynamic team and support the successful execution of our diverse portfolio of planning and design projects. In this critical role, you will serve as the financial backbone of our project delivery, making sure that our initiatives remain on track, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives. As a Project Controller, you will bridge the gap between project management and financial management, providing essential oversight and insights that enable our planning and design teams to deliver exceptional results for our clients. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative planning and design solutions while developing your expertise in project financial management within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
 

Key responsibilities

·        Project Management Support and Monitoring
·        Project Budgeting and Coordination
·        Project Reporting
 

Position Function

·        Develop a project work plan by defining project objectives and deliverables.
·        Prepare and review the project budget, ensure work schedule timelines are met and/or recommend improved progress actions.
·        Direct project resources and ensure resources are optimally utilized and within budget parameters.
·        Meeting coordination and data management.
·        Articulate and summarize progress reports regarding project performance.
·        Analyze project costs and prepare financial reports.
·        Embodies O2’s values and demonstrates a professional demeanor.
 

Qualifications

·        A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, and/or equivalent.
·        Developed knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and reporting procedures.
·        3-5 years of project management experience.
·        Innovative, exceptional time management, excellent communication, analytical, and critical problem-solving skills.
·        A CPA, PMP, or equivalent designation is considered an asset.
